Steve was formally a Director of a manufacturing organisation supplying enclosure products to the computer and computer peripherals industry. In his role of Sales and Marketing director he was instrumental in the company receiving the Queens award for export on two separate occasions. This was achieved by creating an engineering and sales division across the whole of the EU.
After the success in Europe, he was asked to move to the USA to set up a similar manufacturing facility, sales force and engineering department to capitalise on the much larger American markets. During a 10 year period the company became a leading player in designing and manufacturing bespoke products for use within the US military and government sectors. When the company was sold by its shareholders he returned to the UK to market a product developed in Washington DC that was aimed at the data storage and retrieval market. With the pace of change within the computer industry the product soon became obsolete and he decided it was time to retire.
Since retiring Steve has become very involved with Disability issues and landlord/tenant initiatives. A former Chair of the Gwalia Residents Partnership, a founder member and Chair of the Gwalia Residents Disability Group and a former Ty Cymdogaeth Board member.
