Care and Support Board
A bit about Roz
Roz qualified as a social worker but has spent most of her professional life working as a senior manager and executive Director in a range of organisations in the voluntary sector. She is now retired.
Her most recent professional role was as the Director of Carers Wales, an information and campaigning organisation dedicated to ensuring a better deal for unpaid family carers. In this role, she worked closely with Welsh Government in the development of several high level strategic plans for health and social care.
She has also worked as CEO of the National Playbus Association and established one of the first Care and Repair schemes in Wales in the Rhymney Valley. Other roles include working with young people in Bristol and Northern Ireland and, briefly, as a teacher in Kenya.
She has experience of performance monitoring, budget setting and financial management and the assessment and scrutiny of risk. She is committed to social justice and ensuring that marginalised groups of people have access to the support and services they need and have a real voice in how those services are delivered.
She has previous experience on the boards of a number of voluntary organisations and has a clear understanding of governance.
