Easter with a Difference

We knew this year's Easter celebrations will be different to the norm and we came to terms with the fact we will need to be extra creative when organising our time to comply with the #StayAtHome message. However, our wonderful Pobl Superheroes proved once again that no matter the circumstances, we can still provide the magnificent level of service to the people we support and care for.

Getting Crafty

Residents at the care homes and supported living schemes are proudly showing off their handy work. Some made Easter Bonnets, others Easter cards to send to loved ones. We also had a cake making competition with some fabulous creations! Despite the circumstances, we are creating new ways of engaging with our residents and keeping the boredom away. With this wonderful weather outside, those who have access to gardens or even a pot on a windowsill, have been encouraged to grow or create some upcycling masterpieces to look at while in the lockdown.

Sharing egg-citement in the community

Teams across Pobl are supporting local foodbanks by helping to deliver food to families and people who are self-isolating to ensure they do not go without essentials and still feel connected to the community. This is proving to be a positive and welcomed service.

Staff across the teams have pulled together to not only keep the service we provide going and ensure everyone is being supported but are actively working alongside the foodbanks.

Before the coronavirus became an issue, Pobl teams in the Vale of Glamorgan had already came up with the idea to start collecting Easter Eggs to give to our local foodbank for families who were already struggling financially. This became even more important as the situation has affected more people and their families who have lost jobs.

Kind Donations

We’ve received so many donations from local businesses! This made Easter special form many residents.
