Pobl Care Services Receive Excellent CIW Inspection Reports

Pobl's Care services have received excellent inspection reports from Care Inspectorate Wales, despite what’s likely to have been the most challenging 18 months for the care sector to date.

In the midst of a pandemic, the first inspection since re-registering under RISCA regulations and the first inspection since the group formally came together as “Pobl Care & Support”, Care Inspectorate Wales has given excellent feedback on each one of the Pobl services they inspected.

With a huge number of positive remarks in each report, each service was rated highly by the regulatory body, with none or very few notes for improvement.

To pick out just one quote from the report, this one sums up the inspector’s conclusion and Pobl’s aim perfectly:

“The agency is clear about what it stands for and what it wants to achieve, that is to provide whatever support a person needs in order for them to have a fulfilled life”.

Commenting on the excellent reports, James Wadlow, Director of Care at Pobl and the Group’s Responsible Individual, said, “We know that this has been an exceptionally tough period for all of our colleagues working directly with individuals.

“We are extremely proud of how they have continued to ensure the delivery of warm, person-centred and supportive services, ensuring that the individuals we support are at the forefront of all that they do.”

Amanda Davies, CEO at Pobl Group is also incredibly proud of the quality of care services provided by colleagues and the care and compassion shown to residents through the pandemic and beyond.

She says, “While we would be extremely proud of such inspection reports at any ‘normal’ time, for this to have been achieved during a pandemic, with the constant changes to guidance, many challenges, heightened pressure and increased risks, is nothing short of extraordinary.
