Food glorious food!
Parc Eirin development provides a helping hand to local community food scheme.

Gilfach Goch Community Association (GGCA) have been able to purchase food to support those in need in the local area thanks to a generous donation from Morganstone.
The construction company made a £1,500 donation as part of the community benefits that they are providing as they build new homes at Parc Eirin in Tonyrefail.
Parc Eirin is a partnership between Pobl Group, Morganstone, Sero and Tirion Homes to develop a total of 225 two-, three- and four-bedroom low carbon homes with a mixture of for sale and for rental properties. The scheme has been supported by funding through the Welsh Government’s Innovative Housing Programme, to demonstrate and promote the delivery of low carbon homes within Wales.
Richard Walters, the Operational Manager at GGCA told us:
“We work in partnership with FareShare Cymru to allow us to multiply the amount donated. For example, if we pay £70, then we get in excess of £490 worth of food including both fresh and longer life products.”
As well managing the purchase of the food, Richard and GGCA also handle the distribution to locals in need:
“Everything that we collect is then used to distribute to those most in need in the community. There is no charge, and we deliver to their door if needed so the community can benefit without having to leave their home.”
“Supporting the local community is always at the heart of what we do and in these challenging times, we recognise it’s more important than ever to support those most in need. We’re delighted that we were able to contribute to the fantastic work that GGCA and FareShare are doing to support families facing very tough situations.” Adam McCarthy, Contracts Manager at Morganstone
Richard made it clear that the donation will have a big impact for the community:
“This is an ideal service for those most at need – older people, those who are vulnerable, or those who are isolating and unable to get food for themselves and their families.”
"In these uncertain times, support from companies such as Morganstone make a massive difference in the community. Their contribution results in £1000s worth of food getting to the community to those at greatest need.”
