This week (7th-13th February) is the 15th annual National Apprenticeship Week.
The week brings together businesses and apprentices from across the UK to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. We’re sharing stories of our apprentice colleagues from across Pobl.
Dan Wright is an carpentry apprentice within the Estates team. He is currently studying towards a Level 2 qualification in college. Dan works on a variety of sites doing pre-painting repairs ahead of our in-house painting team and contractors prior to internal and external decorations. He also has experience with over-cladding various properties within our stock.
Dan was recently awarded with a £250 Screwfix voucher from Hale Construction, one of our contractors, as a small token of appreciation for his hard work on site for them at our Treberth Crescent development.
Our new build developments offer a wide variety of apprenticeship opportunities in a range of trades, including carpentry, plastering, plumbing, groundworks, and many more. We currently have 170 apprenticeships across all of sites, helping to create the workforce of the future.
Dan told us that he is planning to buy some personal tools with his gift, which will be a great help for him and his future – well done Dan!
