“The Great Pobl Bake Off”
Lockdown has been a challenge for our care and support services, with staff working hard to keep residents and tenants occupied, whilst staying safe. So what better way to lift everyone's spirits than with a group-wide Bake Off?!
When the idea for a “Great Pobl Bake Off” first came about, we couldn’t have ever imagined that so many of our services would get involved. Our colleagues went over and above… and that was just to source the ingredients!
There were two challenges to tackle…
- The Cupcake Challenge
- The Showstopper Challenge
And fun was had by all…
Of course, due to Government guidance, we couldn’t travel to our different services to judge the tasty creations, so we had to have a Bake Off with a difference! We asked the staff at our services to take photographs of the finished products and our CEO, Amanda Davies then took on the tricky task of choosing the winners.

Seeing all of these smiling faces, thoroughly enjoying the activities and of course, the cakes is the real prize though…
