Learning New Tricks!
The individuals we support at Plas Bryn Rhosyn, our residential care service in Neath, have been testing out a new piece of technology – and so far, the response has been overwhelmingly positive!
Provided as part of the Happiness Programme led by Social-Ability, the “Magic Table” is based on motion detecting technology, which can engage and excite people through a wide range of games and activities.
It is fully mobile and can be used in a variety of different ways. It can be used to facilitate a table top game, project onto a ceiling for a night time star show or even simulate an indoor fish pond at the bottom of an individual’s bed!
Our care and support services are committed to ensuring that each individual has access to a variety of stimulating activities to enrich their life and enhance their wellbeing.
It’s fantastic that this technology being used as part of the care package and we look forward to seeing if it can be used across some of our other services too. When you look at the video above, the positive reaction is clear to see!
