From 22 August we’re bringing #CoffeeWithPurpose to Newport with the launch One Twelve Coffee.
One Twelve Coffee is located at 112 Lower Dock Street in Newport city centre. It’s non-profit and exists to help people who have experienced homelessness get back into housing, work and society.
People who work with One Twelve will undertake a 12 week barista training programme to equip them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make and serve amazing coffee and food. Their confidence and ambition will grow each day and they’ll experience what it’s like to be part of a supportive team that’s passionate about what they do. Should they wish to move on, they’ll have increased employment opportunities: the UK coffee shop market grew by 7.3% during 2017 with 1,215 new stores opening between January 2017 and January 2018.
