Every organisation has them but it’s not always clear how they were created and whether they really count…
At Pobl Group values matter…
Since Pobl Group was created in April 2016, creating a new set of values has been a priority. We want everything we do to be underpinned by a clear set of positive, meaningful values. We wanted to create those values in the right way, so that they are owned and understood by everybody who works for Pobl and everybody we work with.
So we made them together..
Our Group values were made by our staff, informed by a huge listening exercise that saw hundreds of customers and staff telling us what they valued about our work, what they didn’t like so much and what they wanted from Pobl group in future.
We gathered views across over 40 listening sessions, working with people across Pobl Group and as such, across Wales and the South West (See our social media highlights below). We also ran surveys and used social media to listen throughout the Autumn. We approached this with an open, considerate mind and the views we gathered offered fantastic insight into the aspirations, concerns and sentiment of those who work for Pobl and those Pobl works for.
The views we collected were analysed by a project team of staff across 4 co-creation sessions, eventually leading us to 3 new values and sets of connected behaviours for everybody at Pobl Group to live up to.
And we’ll live them together..
These new values will sit at the heart of everything Pobl Group does. You’ll see them in our plans, policies and procedures. You’ll see them in our offices, on our vehicles and across our communciations.
More importantly, you’ll see them in the work we do and the way we do it, because these new values will define the way we lead and develop the organisation and the way we design and deliver our services.
