Pobl HR Team double award success
Huge congratulations to our HR Team who were Highly Commended for Best Use of Management Information at the recent 2016 Midland HR Impact Awards and to Gaynor Morris, our Executive Director of Organisational Development who won Most Transformational HR Director.
The awards took place on 7th June in Stratford-upon-Avon and were presented by stand-up comedian Romesh Ranganathan. Emily Saunders and Isabelle Brook attended the event and collected the awards on behalf of Gaynor and the team.
Emily Saunders, HR Systems & Benefits Manager said “Gaynor won this award for her support, leadership and decision making during the People 1st Project. Gaynor has provided excellent support and direction to the project team over the last 2 years which led to a successful launch and implementation of the i-Trent system, including myteam and myworklife”.
Recommended by external experts and Judged by a panel of HR Leaders , the successful nominees were judged against how they have demonstrated significant business value and return on investment and how this can be delivered through strategic HR
The awards are held annually and recognise both the hard work and success stories resulting from new or on-going HR and payroll related projects, which have delivered real value to the business.
Commenting on the quality of the MHR Impact Award entries, Hazel Williams, Senior Lecturer in Human Resources at Nottingham Trent University said: “I have been a member of the judging panel for five years, and each year, the calibre of the entries noticeably increases. This year’s winners were all able to demonstrate exceptional results through a combination of strategic vision, careful planning, team work and the application of best practice.”
Other winners were Loughborough University for most transformational project and Care Uk for most outstanding Project Team.
On receiving her reward Gaynor said: “First of all I was surprised I had been nominated and then even more surprised when Emily text me to tell me I had won an award! It think anything that get’s Pobl name out there in a positive way is a good thing. However, it is an award for the Team and not for me at all – all the hard work was completed by the HR/ Payroll and ICT team with Mandy’s great project leadership. For me the most important thing is that we do much more in the future to capitalise on the great opportunities that technology gives us. The marriage between people and technology is a really powerful and exciting one and I look forward to much more activity around the people and technology agenda. I am very lucky to work with such talented people at Pobl”
