Street Football Wales announce Michael Sheen as patron
Hollywood actor Michael Sheen has shown that using football to raise awareness of homelessness in Wales is right up his street.
Homeless football charity Street Football Wales, which is hosted by Pobl, are delighted to announce that Port Talbot raised Michael has committed to becoming patron of the charity that helps homeless and socially excluded people in Wales.
Street Football Wales Project Leader Keri Harris met with the actor on June 5 to discuss how Street Football Wales helps to re-integrate people into mainstream society and inspire them to lead healthier, more physically active and mentally well lives.
Keri said: “It was an honour and a privilege to have been given the opportunity to discuss with Michael the successes of Street Football Wales and how it has benefited so many socially excluded people in Wales in recent years.
“To have such a high-profile charitable figure with an extremely demanding schedule pledge his support by agreeing to become Patron of Street Football Wales is a dream come true.”
