The sun shone brightly as Pobl welcomed a group of guests including Rebecca Evans; Housing & Regeneration Minister and Anthony Hunt; Leader of Torfaen County Borough Council to Hales House for afternoon tea and a chat!
Hales House is our Pontypool housing and support service and is currently home to 20 young people.
The Minister heard first-hand how the young people value the service and in particular the support they receive from staff and each other.
Many of the young people spoke freely with guests about their ‘journey’ and the positive impact living at Hales House is having on their lives, where not only do they have a roof over their heads, they have access to all kinds of support, specific to their individual needs.
Hales House clearly demonstrates what can be achieved with the right funding stream in place – one of the many reasons why we are passionate about supporting the #HousingMattersWales campaign, launched this week by Community Housing Cymru.
