Friday night saw teams from across Pobl gain national recognition for the work they do at the CIH Welsh Housing Awards held in the Vale Hotel near Cardiff.
It was such a remarkable night of success that members of Pobl’s Communications Team struggled to keep up with how many awards had been won as pobl’s social media accounts exploded!
All the award winning projects were innovative, showed partnership working and evidenced the clear difference made to the people and communities using each service. And with so much good work going on across Pobl, it proves that it’s well worth sharing ideas and meeting up with colleagues and partners to find out what’s working – you could come up with a project that wins in 2018.
Here’s the roll call of our award winners
New Development – Loftus Garden Village (with Lovell and Newport CC)
Building Safer Communities – Charter Housing, ‘Stronger Families, Safer Communities’
Increasing Equality and Diversity in Housing – Gwalia Care & Support, Gwent ‘Gypsy & Traveller Service’
New Ideas and Approaches – Charter Housing (with Caerphilly CBC), ‘Preventing Homelessness Together’
Using Technology and Promoting Digital Inclusion – Charter Housing, ‘Approach to Digital Communities’
A special shout out must also go to Gwalia’s Annie Woods, who was shortlisted in the Housing Champions category.
