Well five wonders actually, but between them they bought home 7 awards after being shortlisted for Wales Care Awards from Care Forum Wales.
As recognised leaders in their field, our five Pobl wonders all gained nominations at the same time, in the same awards ceremony to celebrate outstanding achievements in care, something which marks a new high for Pobl.
The awards ceremony was held At City Hall, Cardiff on 19th October and Karen Rogers, our Residential Care Manager at Llys Y Seren won a gold Dignity In Care award, as well as a bronze Leadership and Management In Residential Care Services award, while Clive Sparrow took home the gold Commitment To Quality In Housekeeping and Hospitality award. Shauna Martin, also from Llys Y Seren won the silver Exceptional Newcomer award.
Meanwhile from Plas Bryn Rhosyn, our Residential Care Facilities Assistant Paul Clement won a gold Dignity In Care award, as well as a bronze Commitment To Quality In Housekeeping and Hospitality award, with Sarah Crimmins taking home the gold Excellence in Catering award.
The annual awards celebrate excellence across the Wales care sector and recognise each nominee’s outstanding commitment to the industry. For five of our dedicated staff to reach the finalist stage is a really proud moment that highlights the standards of service we aim to provide as a group with the positivity and dedication of our care providers.
With 670 care homes in Wales and the number of nominations in each category extremely high, competition for each award is stiff and our colleagues have really shown they have that special something.
