Partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University proving popular
Derwen’s partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University’s School of Complementary Therapy is going from strength to strength.
The Health and Wellbeing Hub, successfully launched earlier in the year at Derwen’s older person’s complex in Newport is proving extremely popular with the residents.
Over the summer, students from the university offered free massage and reflexology treatments for residents. This was an excellent opportunity both for the students to practice and refine their skills whilst working with an older client group. It also gave residents the chance to access free, specialist advice on many aches and pains and of course feel pampered!
