What is Housing Support

Our Floating Support service enables people to live in their own properties helping manage the responsibility of running their own home and avoiding potential homelessness.

We support with finances, benefit applications and help with debt issues as well as advising in regard of educational and employment opportunities. Signposting people to, and liaising with, other professional agencies is an integral aspect of our support. Building community presence and encouraging responsible neighbourly relations are also a primary remit of the Housing Support service.

We aim to improve the person’s quality of life and promote independent living

Our service provides ‘floating support’ and works with people to the Supporting People Allowable Activities. These services are traditional limited to a maximum of two years but specialised services also exist for those with longer term housing support needs. It equips people with the skills, knowledge and advice enabling them to manage their futures without support.

Pobl Housing Support has specific specialist services existent for older people, those dealing with mental health issues, autism, physical disability and memory loss and dementia. We also have a proven record of achieving outcomes for people with learning disabilities.
