Chris is an accountant who has worked in both the private and public sectors in England and Wales. He has lived in South Wales for over 30 years during which time he has worked with a number of organisations in Cardiff and Gwent, as well as in England.
Chris is Chair of the Pobl Care and Support Board and is a non executive director on the Pobl Group Board. He is also an Independent Board Member of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, where he is Chair of the Quality and Patient Safety and Planning and Strategic Change Committees and has responsibility for championing Carers issues.
He is currently chair of the Greater Gwent Partnership Carers Board. In his role as a co-opted member of the Wales Sub Committee of Carers Trust UK Board, Chris is an advocate of ensuring that Carers are properly supported in carrying out their roles and have a real voice in the delivery of health and social care.
He is also committed to ensuring that disadvantaged groups have better access to health and public services. Chris has held a number of non executive and trustee positions over the past 10 years, including Chair of the Cadarn Housing Group and Chair of the Cardiff Carers Centre.
He recently stood down as a trustee of the Cardiff City Football Club Foundation having contributed to improving its financial position and governance systems.
Chris was awarded an MBE in 2018 for Services to Carers and Healthcare in Wales.
